What is Montessori Method?
The Montessori Method is a child-centric educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s. It is totally based on collaborative play and hands-on learning. Its primary goal is to encourage children to make inventive choices during their learning.
The Learning Triangle, one of the hallmarks of the Montessori method, consists of three elements – the teacher, the environment, and the child.
The Teacher: The role of a teacher in the Montessori method is of a Model, Director, Guide, or Mentor. Once she is done with the individual lessons, children interact with the teacher whenever support or guidance is needed.
The Environment: The teacher prepares the classroom environment to encourage freedom, independence, and a sense of order in the students. The Montessori classrooms are crafted perfectly to meet the child’s needs, specifically for his age range.
The Child: Children make use of the materials available around the environment. The child works individually as well as in groups, finds and explores knowledge, and helps himself develop to his best potential.

My 2 year old son couldn’t love the school more. He cries when I pick him up and always asks to go to school. His teachers Marnie and Amanda are the most dedicated and gifted teachers I’ve ever seen. My very active boy is able to concentrate for extended periods of time as the result of his amazing teachers. His vocabulary went from 20 to 500 words in a matter of months. I constantly notice new things he learns at school. After touring the school, I knew right away that this is the perfect preschool for my kids and I was 100% right. I can’t wait for my daughter to start in the spring and tell everyone to go there

Alamo Montessori is a great school. We had my daughter attend from 2.5yo-4.5yo and my son from 2yo-2.5yo. We only had to leave because our life situation changed, but the kids loved going to this school! We were even attending during the pandemic and they were really safe, keeping an indoor-outdoor model for the kids to move freely in. Ms Marnie and Ms Amanda were our constants and they are amazing teachers. When we initially visited the school (prepandemic) the whole class of 2yos was so well-behaved, quiet and polite; it really convinced us our kids would benefit from their teachings. We highly recommend it

Can't say enough good things about Marnie and Alamo Montessori School. My 20 month only son previously enrolled in another local daycare but he was unfortunately removed after 4-5 part time days because he was being "disruptive" and "wanted to be around the caretakers only." This is more than reasonable for a toddler experiencing his first daycare and time away from us in a foreign environment. Before we even enrolled, Marnie and Alamo Montessori School went out of their way to help our son dip his toes in with multiple 15 minute morning sessions to help him feel comfortable with being away and with his new environment. We eventually enrolled our son and while he hesitant initially, Marnie had a great plan in place to keep my son entertained and distracted. After only a couple of weeks, he now loves going and can't wait to get out of the car. Highly recommend Alamo Montessori School
